In my project, I’d like to shed light on the atrocity that is “catcalling”. Catcalling has many different terms like “street harassment” and “jeer.” What I find mind boggling is how common catcalling is in everyday society. Almost every woman in their lives have experienced some sort of catcalling, some even on a day to day basis. I’d like to know how some of these women dealt, or coped with this catastrophe.

In order to better understand this topic, I must find scholarly articles and news on street / sexual harassment. I want to better understand why some people feel the need to say these kinds of things to others. Also, I’d like to research the rate of catcalling in many different areas of the world, to see the difference.
