The person I chose for my intersectional analysis is Montero Lamar Hill better known as Lil Was X. Lil Nas X is an American hip hop artist and songwriter who made his official debut in 2019 when his song “Old Town Road” was released. Being apart of this generation and in the music industry it can be tough trying to be who you want to be rather than being who others may want you to be. Lil Nas X set the bar high when he came out as gay while his hit single was #1 everywhere. Lil Nas X proofed not only to himself but to so many young people and others who look up to him that they can be true to themselves no matter what others may have to say about you because none of that matter unless you are true to yourself.
