I chose the topic Politics of Birth Control because I believe women should have rights over their bodies. Neither religion nor government should dictate what someone does with her body and giving women access to contraception allow them to have a better quality of life. Another reason I chose this topic is that by making abortion illegal, women’s lives are at risk as they will seek out abortions whether legal or not. Unrestrictive abortion laws allow women to have the procedure done in safe medical facilities with qualified staff.
