My topic is women integration in the military and the obstacles they face.  I am a veteran so I have first hand insight on what occurs on many levels. In order to understand this topic I need to take a step back and evaluate the roles of women today vs back in the day. I have to find stories that relate to my topic. I have to do a hard reflection on my personal stories on things I have observed. My topic relates to gender and inequality and its effects on the workplace and morale of everyone in the command. This topic is a huge topic now especially with the integration of women/men down to the platoon level in boot camp. Through research I will be able to effectively give an informative background for those unfamiliar with women’s roles in the military as well as broadcasting the advancements and daily struggles that women face within the military.
